“Very Peri” Spring 2022

When embarking on the task of creating a new company identity that combined two individual personalities into one, there was a lot of conversation around color. The beauty industry is a very visual industry, and, as a group, we all KNOW the power of good color!
Ultimately, we landed on our logo hue because we wanted to fall between the calming consistency of blue and the exciting innovation of purple. We wanted our image and our message to let our customers know that we are dependable - but we’re also fun, engaging, and collaborative!
We felt that we landed on the perfect shade to represent who we wanted to be, so, imagine our surprise at the announcement of Pantone’s 2022 Color of the Year – Very Peri! In their press release Pantone describes the shade as “blending the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red, this happiest and warmest of all the blue hues introduces an empowering mix of newness.”
This news was so exciting to us. Not just because it reinforced the popularity of our choice, but because the undisputed experts-of-color detailed the characteristics of the shade in a way that captures what we want to be now and what inspires us to evolve into for years to come.
In a time when there’s a lot of transition for the world, the industry, and our company - the color of the year also marks a perfect tone to evolve from winter to spring. Reminiscent of early crocus blooms, the appearance of this color in nature comes in step with longer periods of sunlight and warmer temperatures. In the presence of these factors, it’s almost impossible to not feel a sense of rejuvenation and hope. Early spring is a transition - shedding darkness for the promise of wonderful things to come.
